Conflict of Interest Policy
Policy 200-007 – Conflict of Interest
Last Revised: February 15, 2026
The Rescue Fire Department is committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making in all District operations.
This policy establishes standards for identifying, disclosing, and preventing conflicts of interest in accordance with the California Political Reform Act and Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) regulations.
Board members, the Fire Chief, District Legal Counsel, and other designated officials are required to disclose certain financial interests, including investments, real property, business relationships, income, loans, and gifts that could influence District decisions.
The policy also establishes financial disclosure requirements, filing deadlines, restrictions on gifts and loans, and procedures for disqualification from decisions involving personal financial interests.
These requirements help ensure that District decisions are made in the public's best interest, free from improper personal or financial influence.
The complete Conflict of Interest Policy (200-007) is available in the document above.
